Press a keyboard shortcut, speak into your microphone, et voilà!

Global keyboard shortcut

Just press Option + Space to stop and start, and WhisperType will start recording. Press the shortcut again, and the text will be pasted into current text field.

Paragraph detection

As you speak, you can press Enter and a new paragraph will be started. Or you can just let AI figure out where paragraphs should go. Great for writing emails!

Instant results

Most results will show up in 1-2 seconds. And because we handle the audio while you're still speaking, that applies even to longer recordings.

Custom spelling

You can set up custom spelling for certain words - such as unusual names of people or places. Once you define them, they will be automatically detected in your speech.
